What's a Fanlisting?

Who is George Harrison?
George Harrison is love.I could stop there, but for comprehension's sake, I'll continue. George Harrison was born in 12 Arnold Grove, Liverpool, in February 1943. His father had been a seaman, but by then he was driving a bus. His mother was from an Irish family called French, and had lots of brothers and sisters. In George's own words, "My mother was Catholic. My father wasn't, and although they always say people who weren't Catholics were Church of England, he didn't appear to be anything." George Harrison is most famous for being a guitarist in the rock-sensation, The Beatles. Here are his stats from that 1960's era (I think they're fun to look at!) He's a lot taller than I originally thought he was! But, anyway. George's life did not end after The Beatles' breakup. On the contrary, George went on to release many solo albums, such as Dark Horse and All Things Must Pass. He truly earned his 2004 solo induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. You can't help but think there was something... more to George Harrison. A big something. Something just below the surface. Like he was in-tune with something divine - probably because he was, or that's what I like to think, anyway. Harrison organized the first large-scale charity concert that took place in August 1, 1971 - The Concert for Bangladesh. He did a lot of caring in his life. He had a lot of love. During his time with The Beatles, he was known as "The Quiet Beatle", because of his introspective manner. George Harrison died on November 29, 2001 at the age of 58. He died of lung cancer that metastasized to his brain. After his death, his family has said, "[George] left this world as he lived in it: conscious of God, fearless of death and at peace, surrounded by family and friends. He often said: ''Everything else can wait but the search of God can't wait, and love one another.'"
